Block vs Block II

About Block vs Block II

Block vs Block II is a head-to-head block-falling puzzle duel where two players or a player and AI compete on adjacent grids. Players drop geometric block shapes to complete horizontal lines. Clearing multiple lines simultaneously sends penalty blocks to the opponent's grid, escalating pressure until one player's stack hits the ceiling.

How to play

In single-player desktop mode, use Arrow keys (Left/Right to move, Down to drop, Up to rotate). In two-player mode, Player 1 uses WASD while Player 2 uses Arrow keys. On mobile, on-screen directional buttons handle piece movement. Beginners often fail by building uneven towers with central gaps, preventing clean line clears under pressure.

Tips

  • **Set Up Multi-Line Clears:** Keep a single vertical channel open on one side to drop long 4-block pieces for massive attacks.
  • **Counter Attack Blocks:** Clear lines immediately after receiving garbage blocks from your opponent to keep your grid level down.
  • **Maintain Flat Stacks:** Avoid leaving single-column spikes that block horizontal piece placements.

Who it's for

Ideal for puzzle fans and friends seeking couch-co-op style two-player battles. Operates flawlessly on desktop keyboards and touch devices. If it clicks with you, try DD Blocky or DD Blocky next.
