Fisherman Adventure

A father and son in a small wooden boat, a rod bending as a golden fish breaks the surface of the river: Fisherman Adventure is a fishing game with a warm, family feel. It is an Android build from the ICT games programme, downloaded here as an APK at version 0.6, the highest version number in the collection.

How to play

The loop is the one fishing games have always used: cast, wait for a bite, then reel in without losing the catch. The game appears to track your catches and an in-game currency, which usually means better gear becomes available as you fish. The mistake most new anglers make is striking too early; wait until the fish has properly taken the bait.

Before you install

• Use Wi-Fi: the file is about 105 MB, and a dropped mobile connection means starting the download again.
• Keep at least twice that much free space, because Android unpacks the APK while installing it.
