I Want to Be King

I Want to Be King is a funny stealth-reaction game centered on royal intrigue and betrayal. Players alternate between playing as an ambitious assassin trying to sneak up on the ruling monarch and playing as the vigilant King watching out for treacherous subjects. Timing and bluffing determine whether you claim the crown or end up in the dungeon.

How to play

On desktop, hold the Spacebar or left-click to charge your assassination bar when walking behind the King, and release immediately when the King turns around. When playing as the King, press Spacebar or click to glance backward. On mobile, touch and hold the screen to stalk, and let go when the King turns. New players lose by holding down the action button too long during the King's surprise checks.

• **Watch Character Cues:** Pay attention to small movement twitches in the King's stance right before he turns around.
