About Injection Invasion
The premise is strange enough to be worth a look on its own: a boy, and a world throwing injections at him. Underneath the theme, Injection Invasion is a pure evasion platformer. Nothing to shoot, nothing to collect. You get movement, positioning and timing, and the only number that means anything is how long you stayed untouched.
How to play
You run and jump clear of hazards as they come, reading each one early enough that you are already somewhere else when it arrives. The loop is simple and it speeds up. The mistake new players make is moving too much. Constant jumping feels safer than standing still, but it hands away control, since you cannot change direction once you are in the air.
Tips
- Stay grounded until you need to leave the floor. A character on the ground can answer a new threat; one halfway through a jump has already decided.
- Move early and in small amounts. Big evasive leaps commit you to a position you picked a second ago, which is rarely still the safe one.
- Keep space on both sides instead of settling against an edge. Getting cornered turns an avoidable hazard into an unavoidable one.
Who it's for
A short-burst game, a minute or two per run, where the draw is beating your own best stretch rather than finishing anything. It leans on reaction speed and has almost no learning curve. Play it on a desktop with a keyboard; it is not built for a phone. For a run-based arcade game that does suit a phone, try Gelatino, and if you would rather fight back than flee, Parmesan Partisan puts a shotgun in your hands.
