About Pixeroids

Pixeroids pays homage to arcade space shooters with crisp vector graphics and fluid Newtonian space physics. Steering a nimble triangular scout ship in deep space, players blast drifting space asteroids into smaller fragments before destroying them entirely. Dodging floating space debris while managing ship momentum requires deft thruster control to avoid crashing into rogue rocks.

How to play

Use A and D (or Left/Right Arrows) to rotate ship orientation, W (or Up Arrow) to fire thrusters forward, and Spacebar to shoot laser cannons. Touch controls feature on-screen rotation buttons and fire pads. Beginners frequently hold thrusters continuously, drifting out of control into asteroid fields.

Tips

  • Use brief, light thruster taps to maintain manageable drifting speed without building excess momentum.
  • Avoid shattering multiple large asteroids simultaneously; clear smaller fragments first to keep screen clutter minimal.
  • Utilize your emergency hyperspace jump button only when trapped in unavoidable asteroid collisions.

Who it's for

Great for classic arcade lovers, retro space shooter fans, and gamers who enjoy skill-based physics movement. Plays best with desktop keyboard controls. If it clicks with you, try Ufo Run or Bomb is in the air next.
